Time is Only a Century Away

I wrote a new play.

At least I think it’s a play. It smells like a play.

It’s about an old man, and his dead wife, and a clock, and the living embodiment of fate, and time, and endings, and lemonade, and it all happens in 4/4 time or something like that.

Sometimes grad school + expired NyQuil is an interesting combination…

    i read your play!
it was different from some of your other stuff. i’m not sure if i like the ending or not. the more i think about it, the more i like it.
i like how the ticking of the clock got slower and slower as he died (he died, right?).
parts of it seemed kinda…off. i’m not sure. does he die because the clock dies? or is it suicideish?
i might understand this better if i saw it done perhaps.
i liked how you portrayed fate too. he was all snarky!
hm. i’m not sure. i feel like i’m not saying anything at all. let’s have a conversation about this instead of a livejournal comment. i’ll read the cell tonight as well and we’ll have a discussion!
thanks for sharing your work with me mike. it really means a lot to me.

I wrote something last night, too, but I wasn’t on Nyquil! 😀 Although it was yellow and contained many of the same elements.
    I like lemonade.
So… Have you handed in said play? I’m sure you have. Let me know what Dr. Rush things of it.
(It sounds like the name of someone from a Mega Man game, hehe… Dr. Rush…)
